Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) 2.5 is a free digital battlefield game and simulation environment that aims to offer the most authentic and realistic simulation possible. The free download includes quite a few missions in the Caucasus and Black Sea region covering a large part of Georgia. Fly in the Russian Su-25T aircraft and the famous American TF-51D fighter of World War II.
Additional models such as AC-10 can be purchased.
What is included in the DCS World Free download?
The download includes powerful mission editors, full network play and more than 158 AI weapon systems, 105 ground vehicles and trains, 50 air defense systems, 19 ships and 84 AI aircraft that allow you to plan and play very sophisticated missions. DCS World is hugely expandable through additional DCS modules, as well as user-created add-ons and mods, which can be purchased and downloaded from its website.
DCS is a true “sandbox” simulation that is also designed to cover multiple time periods of interest such as World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Gulf War and others.
Where can I fight?
Current regions for combat include Nevada, the Caucasus, the Normandy Test Range 1944.
New maps are being developed and created in: Persian, Syria, Afghanistan and others.
